Vampire Weekend - Horchata (Single)Today Vampire Weekend released a single off their new album entitled Contra. I've always been a fan of Vampire Weekend, but I've been getting tired of listening to the same tracks over and over again. I was glad to hear that on this new track they incorporated violins, fancy beats, xylophone, tambourine, and beautiful vocals all into one new tune. Knocked Up - Kings of Leon VS. Lykke Li (Rodeo Mashup)An ambient mix of the now popular Kings of Leon and Lykke Li, great song. The tambourine hits every now and then are definitely my favorite contribution to this song.
Heart It Races - Dr. DogWhen I discovered that Dr. Dog is having a concert tomorrow night I was reminded of my love for this band and I felt the need to post this overall excellent song. It’s just a barrel of monkeys. Enjoy.
Basement Jaxx - Raindrops (Doorly’s Under New Management Remix)
The UK DJ Doorly has been known to lay some pretty sick beats down under already great songs. This remix proves exactly that. Doorly’s beats mixed with Basement Jaxx’s “Raindrops” works perfectly. The rework of the high pitched vocals works in tandem with Doorly’s style. At some points you just want to get up and dance, while at some points you relax and just think about your life. Overall superb listen.

Yo La Tengo - Autumn Sweater (U-Ziq Remix)I find myself disappointed by most remixes I hear these days, a lot of them don’t give the original song any justice. This is not the case with this song, It is such an interesting interpritation of the original song. I suggest listening to the original version as well.
