reFix This?

Recently I've discovered two great remixes that I definitely should have discovered a long time ago. The two remix geniuses A-Trak and Diplo, two of my favorites have incorporated their own fun-loving style into both these remixes. Although these two mainstream songs are not two of my favorites, the style that is brought into the remixes is so refreshing. The two popular songs remixed are: Lil Wayne's Fireman So Cold and Kanye West's Flashing Lights.
I'm overly excited to be seeing Major Lazer in the near future which is a collaboration between Diplo and the infamous Switch.

Fix Up Your Sex Life

Sexual Healing - Hot Chip

Hot Chip has done it again. The trippy 80's/90's sound mixed with electronic glitches and the insane high pitched vocals of Alex Taylor add a sound that is rarely found lately.
When I was heading home on the bus, I had my iPod on shuffle and this song came on. I had never really entirely listened to it but when I got further and further into the song Hot Chip just entangled me in their beauty.

Take a listen to this song. And for all you Coachella goers... Get pumped.

Four tet does it again

Love Cry- Four Tet

Four Tet has always been a huge musical inpiration to me. Him Flying Lotus, Samiyam, and Take are really in a league of their own. I was so excited to hear that Four Tet had a new album coming out and when I heard tracks off of it, I was even more pleased. It's just as good as anything he has put out in the past. It's really good to hear fresh new electronic music, after awhile I get kind of bored of the dance music that is dominating the electronic genre right now.

Hallelujah

For all those who have not yet seen:

Andrew birds long lost brother

I get serious Andrew Bird Vibes from Owen Pallet's stuff. Although his music could never have the amount of depth that Andrew Bird's music has. Owen Pallet does a fine job here. His album is called Heartland, and its pretty good.
